What is sovereign cloud hosting?

There’s a lot of debate around the term “sovereign”. In our view, sovereign cloud hosting should not only guarantee that your data stays hosted in France or Europe, under GDPR jurisdiction, but also that you rely on providers not subject to extraterritorial laws such as the US Cloud Act. In practice, this means hosting on our own French infrastructure or with our European cloud partners: OVHcloud, Scaleway, Outscale, CastleIT, Ionos, Hetzner. Depending on the level of exposure your organization can tolerate, you should also pay attention to the technical stacks in use, rather than judging solely on the nationality of the hosting or managed-services provider.

Is Enix a French cloud hosting provider?

Yes. Enix is an independent French company, operating its own datacenters in France for over 15 years on its own autonomous network (AS48813). We’re also members of the Libralis collective for a trusted European digital ecosystem. As a French cloud hosting provider, we control the entire hosting chain for your platforms, end to end.

Is Enix hosting ISO 27001 certified?

Do you offer dedicated bare-metal server hosting?

Yes. We offer dedicated bare-metal servers, on our own infrastructure in France, run on our autonomous network, or with our sovereign cloud partners (OVHcloud, Scaleway, Outscale…) who provide us with bare-metal servers.

What's the difference between hosting and managed services at Enix?

Hosting means providing the IT resources (compute, storage, network), while managed services means operating them day to day (monitoring, maintenance, security, support…). Enix can provide either, or both. Providing hosting and managed services together simplifies managing your platform.
