Optimi is a leading B2B player in the fields of CDN (Content Delivery Network), web performance and cybersecurity. The platforms it operates are critical for its customers, with strong requirements in terms of performance, availability and security.
In 2020, Optimi chose Enix to take over the hosting and managed services of its production environments. The goal was to modernize and delegate the 24/7 operation of its infrastructure in order to grow its business and focus on customer satisfaction.
🏗️ Building a custom private cloud
The first step of our collaboration with Optimi was to build a new dedicated, highly secure private cloud, based on our Proxmox Private Cloud solution, hosted on Enix physical servers in Interxion & Telehouse datacenters. This platform guarantees Optimi a high level of sovereignty, performance and cost control.
We also ensure the operational maintenance of several critical components.
🚀 Support through the DevOps & Kubernetes transition
We continuously support Optimi in its DevOps and Cloud Native needs. In this regard, we provide:
- custom Docker & Kubernetes training for internal teams
- support for containerizing business applications, including the creation of Helm charts
- Build and Run of custom Kubernetes clusters, tailored to Optimi’s performance and security constraints
We have also set up and manage the operations of their software forge, to automate development and deployment workflows.
🛡️ 24/7 Run & service commitment
The hosted applications are critical to Optimi’s business and its end customers, with demanding SLAs in terms of both performance and availability.
Enix thus provides full managed services for the Proxmox foundation, Ceph S3 storage, databases and Kubernetes platforms: monitoring, alerting, patching, on-call support, application QoS monitoring… All of it 24/7.
✅ Results achieved
- A robust, sovereign and managed infrastructure, tailored to their business challenges
- A modern, containerized, observable and industrialized Cloud Native platform
- Optimi’s technical team refocused on business innovation while Enix handles the managed services and operational management of the platforms
- An ongoing collaboration on the evolution of the architecture and design
